The Manas story began in 1956 when Giuseppe Sagripanti started his small crafts laboratory in Montecosaro. The first “Conchita” slippers were created here and made even more comfortable thanks to a process that made the rubber elastic and resistant: vulcanization.
New technologies and generally perfecting quality helped the activity grow and make a name for itself. Leading to the first orders from Northern Europe. To support this growth, becoming more and more interesting for the company's future, Giuseppe's sons joined the company.
With the need to create a single productive structure, Manas was founded. The name is an acronym from the names of Giuseppe's three sons: Marino, Nazzareno and Angelo Sagripanti. A modern factory and a new women's shoe line were to be the company's winning choices.
Manas became a Stock Company and five new shareholders- collaborators joined the large Sagripanti family with a small per-capita share. A strong managerialization process started, somewhat rare in the Italian SME panorama. That choice, with its fruits still visible today, enabled the company to grow and make a name for itself.
With its ongoing technological innovation, Manas moved in a winning direction; brand diversification becoming just as many photos of different styles. In the meantime, the third Sagripanti generation easily joined a structure doing all in its power to maximise the company's human resources.
Manas reached a prestigious business age, half a century. And did so strengthening values and activities: excellent position in the medium-high segment on international markets, products that mix comfort, fashion and every day life, quality and competitive price.
