  • 1956

    Giuseppe Sagripanti starts a small shoemaking workshop in Montecosaro. He creates the first “Conchita” slippers, made for maximum comfort thanks to vulcanization, a heat-treatment procedure that renders rubber more elastic and resistant.

  • 60s

    During this period, Nazzareno Sagripanti joins the firm with his brother Marino and for a brief period, he develops a children’s footwear line. New technologies and quality advances lead to steady growth; the first purchase orders arrive from abroad, from Sweden.

  • 70s

    The firm’s steady growth makes it necessary to locate all production facilities under one roof. Manas name is born, an acronym formed by the initials of Giuseppe’s three sons, Marino, Nazzareno and Angelo Sagripanti. The company’s new manufacturing and administrative headquarter is built and a new women’s footwear line is created, an initiative that will prove decisive for the firm.

  • 80s

    Manas incorporates, becoming a stock company, five new partners who join the Sagripanti family business, each with a small stock holding. The decision to introduce a complete business and management overhaul – a rare event on the Italian SME scenario – accelerates company growth, the fruits of which are so evident today.

  • 90s

    Thanks to continued technological advances, Manas embraces a winning strategy: brand diversification, with each brand reflecting different styles. The third generation of Sagripantis fits smoothly into a company framework where the value of human resources has long been appreciated.

  • 2000

    In 2002, after a professional walk of a decade inside the company, Cleto Sagripanti becomes CEO of Manas S.p.A. Currently 84% of share of the company is detained by Sagripanti family and the remaining 16% by 5 excellent managers.
